Dani Herd

Hey, I’m Dani! I am an Atlanta-based queer writer and performer. What I value most in my work are all the intersections among humor, warmth, weirdness, and big ol’ feelings. Around Atlanta, you might have seen me onstage with Write Club (where I am also a co-producer), The Come Up Show ATL, Scene Missing Presents, and the Shakespeare Tavern. Favorite Shakespeare roles so far include: Rosalind, Kate, Lady M, and Titania. Someone please cast me as Sir Andrew Aguecheek, I am dying.

In 2022, my one-person show “gender euphoria: a story in three peters parker” won the Producers’ Choice Award at the Atlanta Fringe Festival. The show itself is an exploration of how loving Spider-Man helped me find peace and celebration within my transness. One of my main artistic goals is to create work that helps others feel less alone.
